Bio Boost Enzymes Product Facts

What are Enzymes?
Enzymes hold the key to life by beginning the process of digestion while promoting the assimilation and reduction of organic materials. Most enzymes are proteins helping to keep nutrients within lakes and ponds from reaching overabundant levels known to trigger nuisance algae and plant growth.

What do Enzymes Do?
Within lakes and ponds, enzymes are known to attack waste materials such as slime, sludge, dead algae/plants, and other organic contaminants which create issues for outdoor enthusiasts. Enzymes begin the digestion process by puncturing the outer shell wall and entering the food source.  It liquefies the matter to a state where the bacteria (either natural or hybrid) is able to absorb it, converting the matter to a by-product of nitrogen and water.   When enzymes and natural indigenous bacteria are through diminishing water-born contaminants, the by-product becomes nitrogen and water, providing a naturally clean and clear environment.

 How Pond Enzymes Function

Why Should I Add Bio Boost Enzymes?
Bio Boost Enzymes contain a specific blend of enzymes from eight diverse enzyme groups. Each enzyme contained within Bio Boost Enzymes has been carefully selected to for unique characteristics shown to accelerate digestion of common organic materials within ponds. These enzymes are then combined with non-ionic surfactants designed to increase the penetration of organic materials - exposing more area for enzyme activity. Bio Boost Enzymes increase the efficiency of naturally occurring microorganisms and Bio Boost Bacteria in reducing organic pond sediment (“muck”).

Bio Boost Enzymes are catalysts that speed up reactions, ponds balance in twice the time than if they were left on their own.  While this breakdown process occurs naturally in water, however, by adding Bio Boost Enzymes the process is accelerated. Bio Boost Enzymes are able to exert a unique reaction that does more than dissolve accumulated toxins and prepare them for elimination.  With the use of Bio Boost Enzymes, you can stimulate and improve water's appearance naturally. Bio Boost Enzyme treatments work more effectively with aeration, by turning water aerobic. Having oxygen present diminishes viruses, fungi, and parasites that affect fish and plants. Aerobic water also reduces odors.

Must I Apply Bio Boost Enzyme As A Separate Application?

Bio Boost Enzymes can be tank mixed with algaecides, herbicides, and many other products during treatment.

A specific blend of high-quality enzymes with non-ionicsurfactants designed to increase the efficiency ofnaturally occurring microorganisms in reducing organic pond sediment (“muck”).

Different  from   other  enzymatic   products  on  the market  due  to  its superior non-ionic  surfactants  and non-bacterial formulation

Non-ionic   surfactants    penetrate  organic  “muck” exposing more area for enzyme activity·  Contains  thousands  of  enzyme  types  from  eight major groups

Enzymes dramatically encourage naturally occurring and augmented (added) microbial populations to flourish  and digest organic materials

Can tank mix with algaecides and herbicides during treatment

Treatment Directions (works best when water is 39° F or higher and properly aerated):

Keep out of reach of children

1.  Wear proper safety equipment including rubber gloves and eye protection when handling or
     applying ABI BIO BOOST enzyme
2.  Determine volume of lake/pond in acre-feet of water (1 acre-foot of water equals 1 surface acre or
43,560 square feet with an average depth of 1 foot, or 325,869 gallons)
3.  Determine amount of ABI BIO BOOST enzyme required using the chart below
4.  Dilute determined amount a minimum of 1 part ABI BIO BOOST enzyme to 9 parts water
5.  Disperse evenly using a clean sprayer or other appropriate method
6.  Apply maintenance amount two weeks after initial application and then every two weeks

Bio Boost #75 Enzymes hold the key to life in small ponds and watergardens with their ability to digest and promote the reduction of organic matter. When enzymes and natural indigenous bacteria are through diminishing water-born contaminants, the by-product becomes nitrogen and water, providing a naturally clean and clear environment. Bio Boost #75 Enzymes can help to clarify water and remove organic foam.

Treatment Directions (works best when water is 39° F or higher and properly aerated):

Initial Application: 1/4 oz. per 1000 gallon of pond water
Maintenance: Every week treat 1/4 oz. per 1000 gallons of pond water.

  • Dilute concentrate 1:100 with pond or lake water
  • Apply from shore
  • Spread over diffuser
  • Can be mixed with algaecide/herbicide application
