This Month's Featured Water Body, Past Winners

Lake and pond owners put a lot of time and passion into their waterbodies every season to keep them looking their best. From carefully tended shorelines to fountains, each element is carefully selected and maintained. The results are beautiful places to kick back and relax or to spend time with family and friends.

This is the place to celebrate all your hard work. Each month ABI will select one winner to be featured here on our website. Featured waterbody winners receive a $50.00 ABI gift certificate, and bragging rights, so dust off your camera; it's time to turn those pixels into profits!

To increase your chance of winning, add a picture caption and write a good story about your picture!! Our judges are often swayed with a few choice words!

Rules and Guidelines

1. You may submit as many entries as you wish.
2. You may not submit any photographs not taken by yourself.
3. By submitting a photo or picture you confirm that you are the photographer.
4. The contest entries will be judged on the picture quality, and uniqueness of the story accompanying the photo.
5. Photos must be digital images emailed to info@aquaticbiologists.com. Please put "Featured Waterbody Photo Contest" in the email's subject line.
6. The Winner will be announced on this page the last Friday of each month (June - October). ABI cannot accept inquiries on the status of the winners.
7. Entries will not be returned and will become the property of Aquatic Biologists, Inc. which reserves the right to post, publish or reprint any photo entry for our purposes.
8. All entries must be labeled according to the following guidelines.
   

   • Contestant’s name, home address, pond address, email and phone number must be included in the email. (Only the contestant's city and state will be posted on our website. ABI will withhold contestant's names upon request).
     
   • By submitting photos, entrants agree to the terms and conditions stated here.
     

This Month's Featured Water Body - Mr. Tim Winkelman, Gleason, WI

"I took this picture of my pond on 11/13/2008. The pond is almost full for the first time since it was completed in October of 2008. Our pet pheasant "Buddy" is on his way to the pond for a drink. The plants are coming in very nice and I look forward to next spring when the pond is full and the plants and shoreline are established. Thank-you all for your help to build my dream pond. A special thank-you to our biologist for all of his hard work to help make my pond truly special."

The biologist who designed this pond notes: "This project consited of installing a 20 mil pond liner, an under liner water collection system, an outfall and a customized aeration system. It will truly be a beautiful pond once the shoreline plants have a chance to completely establish. The pond has a maximum depth of 16' and an average depth of 13'."

September 2008	Brian Schaefer, DDS - Green Bay, WI
When Dr. Brian Schaefer of Green Bay, WI built his new office he designed the layout to take advantage of the pond view. Once construction of the office was completed he installed a 3.5 HP AquaMaster Masters Series Biscayne Pattern Fountain. Now Dr. Schaefer's patients' are able to enjoy a relaxing and beautiful view whenever they have an appointment.
