Reward is a broad spectrum, rapid-acting, contact herbicide. Ideal for use on small bodies of water or small weed patches. Successfully controls a broad range of submersed, floating, and emersed weeds in lakes, ponds, and drainage ditches. Great on land too! Use around patios, ornamental gardens, and along fence lines.

REWARD is also effective against many forms of difficult to control algae when combined with CUTRINE PLUS LIQUID and a non-ionic surfactant such as CIDE KICK II.

Rapidly absorbed by foliage REWARD Liquid begins to work immediately on contact. Wilting and loss of foliage occur quite rapidly, usually within a few days.

Effective on many different weeds.

REWARD is effective anytime live foliage is accessible. Best results occur when applied to reasonably developed foliage, but before growth becomes too dense or weeds flower.

Under low light conditions REWARD may be translocated to other weed parts from the point of contact. When exposed to light the herbicide is activated and kills the weed.

Turbid water or mud covered foliage will reduce absorption and effectiveness. For difficult to control weeds the addition of CUTRINE PLUS LIQUID can boost effectiveness. Use of a non-ionic surfactant such as CIDE KICK II is highly recommended.

Begin application in spring as water temperature warms to 60º F and above. Early treatment when growth first appears or begins to create a nuisance will reduce the amount of REWARD needed. Early treatment will also reduce the amount of dead growth.

Control will last for several weeks to several months depending on local conditions. Several applications will usually be required to maintain season long control. Retreat as re-growth begins to appear. Allow 1 to 2 weeks between consecutive treatments.

Heavy, out of control growth may require more than one application or physical removal to gain control. For best results, use under conditions of minimal water flow. Apply early on the morning of a calm, sunny day. Contact time should be at least 3 hours.

To apply, determine the volume of water to be treated in acre-feet. Dilute with a minimum of 9 parts water. Spray uniformly over the water surface with a Tank or Backpack Sprayer. Allow material to rain down in coarse droplets for better surface penetration.

Application Tips: How to apply Reward?

Just simply mix 1 gallon of Reward with 9 gallons of water and spray directly onto the vegetation. For best results mix with Cide Kick II and Cutrine Plus. Since Reward is a contact herbicide, it is best to apply it early on a sunny day when the plants are actively involved in photosynthesis. The biggest mistake people make is to come home from work and treat vegetation.

Dose requirements are less for Duckweed control or shallow waters of less than 2 Feet. For Duckweed control the label recommends adding a non-ionic surfactant. One quart of CIDE - KICK II Surfactant is typically enough for most projects. Add Bio Boost Enzyme to the Tank Mix to increase the effectivness of the algae treatment. Treat heavy infestations in sections to avoid oxygen depletion.

No water use restrictions.

In Wisconsin and other states, chemical use permits are required for all herbicide/algaecide applications or you must have in place a current Type I or Type II fish farm license. Check with your local and/or state regulatory group for specific requirements. In order to apply chemicals in liquid form within Wisconsin, the applicator must be licensed with the State. Wisconsin pond owners - contact the Department of Agriculture at 608-224-4887 for a fish farm license.
