Product Overview
The headgasket in rotary vane compressors acts as the primary seal between the cylinder head and valve plate assembly. Replacing the headgasket is a cost-effective maintenance task that restores the compressor's performance and longevity.
To get the most life out of your Rotary Vane Compressor, we recommend that you change the headgasket in your compressor every 2-3 years or as it wears out.
Signs the headgasket needs to be replaced:
- compressor runs without stopping but never reaches ideal pressure
- air is heard or you may feel it hissing from between the head and motor
- compressor is excessively hot
- visible oil or air leaks around the cylinder head
