GreenClean® Granular Algaecide
GreenClean® Granular Algaecide is a copper-free algaecide designed to control algae in ponds, lakes, water features, and other aquatic sites. The active ingredient, sodium carbonate peroxyhydrate, produces hydrogen peroxide upon contact with water, which works to disrupt algae cells and provide rapid algae control.
This granular formulation sinks through the water column, allowing for targeted treatment of bottom-growing and surface filamentous algae. GreenClean® Granular breaks down into water and oxygen, leaving no persistent residues when used in accordance with label directions. GreenClean® Granular Algaecide provides effective, targeted algae control when applied according to label instructions and applicable regulations.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. Avoid use near shallow water body margins during amphibian breeding seasons.
CONTAINED WATER SURFACES: Water Gardens, Ornamental Ponds, Ornamental Waterfalls, Fountains, Bird Baths, Standing Water
NON-PAINTED SURFACES: Floors, Walkways, Storage Areas, Patios, Decks, Railings, Roofs, Asphalt Shingles, Siding, Fiberglass, Stairs, Ramps, Ground Cover Mats, Weed Control Mats, Concrete, Brick, Tile, Slate, Granite, Statues/Monuments, Outdoor Furniture, Tennis Courts (non-grass), Shorelines, Gravel, Under Benches, and Other Non-Painted Surfaces
WATER TREATMENT: Use GreenClean Granular to treat, control, and prevent a broad spectrum of algae in listed use sites. Effects of treatment are immediately apparent (bubbling, bleaching/discoloration of algae, floating of dead organic matter). Waters treated with GreenClean Granular are permissible to be used without interruption.
SURFACE TREATMENT: Use GreenClean Granular on all listed non-painted surfaces to prevent and control algae, moss, slime molds and their spores, and the odors and conditions that these organisms cause.
PRECAUTIONARY STATEMENTS
HAZARDS TO HUMAN AND DOMESTIC ANIMALS - DANGER: Corrosive. Causes irreversible eye damage. Harmful if swallowed or absorbed through skin. Do not get in eyes, on skin or on clothing. Wear protective eyewear (goggles, face shield, or safety glasses). Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling. Remove contaminated clothing and wash clothing before reuse. When prolonged or repeated contact may occur, use chemically resistant gloves and full body clothing.
ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS: This pesticide is toxic to birds. Do not contaminate water when disposing of equipment washwaters or rinsate.
PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL HAZARDS: Strong oxidizing agent. Corrosive. Mix only with water in accordance with label instructions. Do not bring in contact with other pesticides, cleaners or oxidative agents.
